Line name change2015Shinetsu Hon (Main) > Myōkō Haneuma
The line was until 2015 a part of JR Shinetsu hon/main line. When Hokuriku Shinkansen opened, the line was transferred to a non-JR company.
Nihongi: The station is a switch-back station, i.e the station is at a side track and the trains have to go in to the station, reverse back to the line and then continue.
